PalyGel
PalyGel is based on selective palygorskite clay and highly processed and modified with advanced technology by Anhui Mingmei MinChem Co., Ltd.
PalyGel is an anti-settling and thickening agent, which has good effect in both aqueous and solvent-based systems. PalyGel is a dry powder magnesium aluminum silicate product. It can be used in latex coatings, paints, inks, adhesives, putties, sealants, toothpastes, and detergents, etc. It offers excellent anti-settling, thickening, anti-sagging application properties.
PalyGel Unique Properties as an agent
Excellent Thickening. With good compatibility, full film, without changing processes and formulations
Effective Anti-settling. Effectively preventing precipitation, stratification of paints and coatings.
High ThixotropicalThixotropic Spectrum. Easy to work with, thinning under shear and thickening in still.
Good Leveling. ShrinkproofShrink proof to eliminate hole and fisheye, anti sagginganti-sagging, anti splashanti-splash, and overall improvement of the uniformity of the film surface.
Weather fastness. Chemical inertia, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, good insulation.
PalyGel Dispersion Influence Factors
Dispersion shear speed
PalyGel must be completely dispersed into the gel before it is effectively used. It is more efficient to get the gel with high shear force and powerful activation energy. The PalyGel dispersion efficiency is linear with increase of the dispersion shear speed.
Dispersion moisture requirement
PallayGel requires proper amount of water in order to form a dispersed gel structure.
Dispersion time
Generally, extending the mixing time can help to get better gel.
Dispersion agent
Adding dispersant can obtain excellent gel effect. The dispersant can be a polar small molecule solvent, or a wetting agent, etc.
